Krowni’s artistic practice is rooted in the playful exploration of queer realities and fantasies that capture a nuanced sense of familiar intimacy. Her work invites the viewer to engage with the fluidity and vagueness of post-binary identity and a deconstruction of traditional notions of femininity. Blurring the boundaries between artist and voyeur, she enjoys to present her subjects within a stage-like composition while playing with elements of kitsch and a vibrant color palette. Krowni’s aim is to create work that becomes a dynamic reflection of personal experiences, pop culture, sensuality and absurdity. Her creative process starts with an idea born out of memories, spontaneous observations, or sometimes even just from memes that she then translates into oil paintings. Krowni studies at the State Academy of Fine Arts Stuttgart under the mentorship of Prof. Alisa Margolis. She had her first solo exhibition with Better Go South Gallery in Berlin in 2024. Her work has been displayed in various group shows in and around Stuttgart, Berlin, Warsaw and her hometown in the south of Germany.
